For those of you who don't know me personally, I was in a car wreck on Mother's Day of this year and shattered my leg and ankle. I also have some nerve and muscle damage in my lower back. I underwent surgery and now have enough hardware in me that I am sure I would make any metal detector go off!
I am happy to say that I am now finally able to walk again without assistance. I still have pain issues and I am struggling a bit financially. But when I think of where I am now and where I was, I know I will make it. I am strong and I will persevere. Forgive my bit of self-reflection, but I am a writer and writers write.
